Note about insurance: Although there are several practices that many health insurance companies use that are not in alignment with how Jamie Delgado, PLLC practice, she acknowledges that using health insurance to pay for therapy is a necessity for some to access care. She welcomes you to contact her if you have questions or would like for her to submit a benefits check to see if your health insurance benefits would pay for us to work together.

For all other insurance plans, Jamie Delgado, PLLC is considered an out-of-network provider. Jamie Delgado, PLLC can provide you with the paperwork, often called a Superbill, that you need to submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement. For additional information on this process, please contact your insurance provider.

If you do plan to use health insurance to pay for therapy, please be informed of the following: There may be restrictions that health insurance providers place on coverage for mental health care. These can include pathologizing human experiences, requiring a mental health diagnosis that remains on your health record and can later be used to deny coverage, and dictating how much and for how long you can receive care. Please contact your insurance provider to make sure you understand what your healthcare plan covers, the restrictions, and the requirements for coverage of mental health care.

Cancelation Policy:

If you have to cancel with less then 24 hours notice, then you will have to pay your full fee for the late cancelation. If you are an insurance client, then you will have to pay $130 for the late fee. If you are able to reschedule your session within 3 business day, then your late fee will go towards that rescheduled session. If you are an insurance client, then you will be refunded your $130 and you will pay your copay for the rescheduled session.

The privilege I hold in the room:

I am aware of the privilege I hold in the room. My goal is to come to you with unconditional positive regard (meaning no judgement and full acceptance of yourself), however I am not perfect nor a purist. If my privilege or bias ever gets in the way of the therapeutic process, you have my permission to call me out on it. I try my hardest to provide a space where you feel safe to be vulnerable and can show up as your authentic self.

I do have a decolonial feministic lens when it comes to the therapeutic process. I’m also trying to figure out how to thrive being a woman in a capitalistic world and have a work life balance.
